The application has been scrutinized w.r.t. necessary documents required, in accordance with Board’s policy dated 30.04.2013 and it was observed that the industry was earlier granted CTE/NOC under the Water Act, 1974 and under the Air Act, 1981 vide no. CTE/Fresh/LDH1/2023/20770492 dated 03.02.2023, valid upto 02.02.2024 and extended upto 23.01.2026 for manufacturing of Dyed Polyester Fabrics @ 8 Metric Tonnes/Day, Dyed PC/ Cotton Fabrics @ 5 Metric Tonnes/Day, subject to certain conditions mentioned therein.
Now, the industry has applied for obtaining fresh consent to Operate under Water Act, 1974 and under Air Act, 1981 for same production capacity.
While scrutinized the applications, it was observed as under: -
1. The industry is required to apply under new category i.e. Red Category: 178.1 - Yarn / Textile processing involving any effluent/emission generating processes including bleaching, dyeing, printing, and colouring, including the garment and apparel manufacturing industry, as per the CPCB’s revised categorization.
2. The industry has not submitted completion certificate and dimensional drawing regarding installation of Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) for treatment of its trade effluent.
As such, you are requested to submit the compliance of the above, within 2 days please. |
