It is intimated that earlier clarification was raised as under:
"As per the proceedings of the personal hearing given to the Railway Authorities, Northern Railway, Ferozepur Division for violation of provisions of the Water Act, 1974 by the Chairman on 28.10.2022, After hearing the representatives of the Railway Authorities & PPCB and considering the material facts on record, one of the decision made by the Chairman of the Board was that: The Railway Authorities shall apply within one month for obtaining 'consents to operate under the Water Act, 1974 & the Air Act, 1981 for all the activities come under the definition of "Railways". However, the railway authorities has applied for Railway Station only and not for area of maintenance, washing of trains, residential colonies of Railway & Railway Hospital etc, if any. You are requested to make compliance within 2 days"
Now, the clarification has been removed. However, no reply has been attached with it.
You are requested to submit reply with clarification, failing which further action shall be initiated under the provisions of pollution control laws. |
