It is intimated that previous CTO applied was refused due to reason mentioned as under:
1. The Railway Authorities have not applied for 100 residential quarters in the consent sought even when the definition of
"Railways" cover the residential quarters meant for railway authorities and the discharge from these railway quarters is being
disposed off into MC Sewer without the approval of MC Abohar.
2. The Railway station, Abohar is not treating the biodegradable waste generated at source being a bulk consumer and the solid waste is disposed off to MC Authorities.
3. Neither an action plan for plastic waste management has been submitted nor plastic waste is being managed/recycled properly and instead being disposed off to MC Authorities.
Now, the authorities has applied for railway station only and not included the 100 residential quarters. The authorities have submitted that compost pits has been provided for wet waste, the authorities is required to attach their picture, size and location. The authorities has not produced any concrete documents regarding management of dry waste and concrete plan for plastic waste management.
The authorities is required to submit strict compliance within 2 days |
