1. Regarding land use (Nursing Home vs Hospital):
The site allotted by GMADA is categorized as a “Nursing Home” site. It is respectfully submitted that healthcare facilities with smaller bed capacity (such as 22 beds) are commonly classified and operated as nursing homes. The terms “nursing home” and “hospital” are often used interchangeably for small-scale healthcare establishments providing similar medical services and patient care.
Therefore, the proposed 22-bedded facility falls well within the permissible usage of a nursing home site, and there is no violation of land use.
2. Regarding installation of STP:
It is submitted that the project proponent proposes to discharge domestic effluent into the Municipal Corporation sewer system. As per applicable Pollution Control Board guidelines, installation of a Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) is not mandatory for healthcare facilities below 30 beds.
Hence, no STP is proposed, and the domestic wastewater shall be disposed of through the authorized sewer network in compliance with applicable norms.
3. Regarding discrepancy in ETP capacity and drawings:
We acknowledge the observation regarding mismatch in the capacity and dimensional details of the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP). The same is being reviewed, and revised/corrected drawings along with updated details shall be submitted at the earliest. |
