The application was scrutinized and it was observed that the Department of Science, Technology and Environment, Govt. of Punjab vide no. STESTEB010/26/2023-STE4/575621 dated 12.06.2023 has issued a notification regarding criteria for grant of consents to Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) installed by Department of Local Government in the State of Punjab for information of all concerned and meticulous compliance, wherein, it was mentioned that STPs having DG set(s) in their premises are required to obtain consent to operate under the provisions of the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for DG set component. ULB has to submit an application on simplified proforma with a nominal fee and analysis report from approved lab of the Board as stipulated in PPCB office order no. 369 dated 09.09.2013 as applicable for the commercial DG sets. As such, the authority is required to submit an application on simplified proforma alongwith analysis report of stack emission and noise monitoring from NABL/Board's approved lab. Therefore, the concerned authority is required to submit the application under the Air Act, 1981 on simplified proforma through hard file in this office. As such, the authority is requested to remove the above said observations within 03 days, so that the application can be processed further. |
