Sir, Application is scrutinised of Dharminder Singh (Dhirowal ordinary earth mining project), Its a proposal of mining of 24,526.34 MT/year of ordinary earth. The applicant has deposited the 3600 consent fees vide Receipt No. 336302447 dated 27.12.2025.
The project proponent has obtained Environmental Clearance (EC) under the provisions of EIA Notification, 2006. As per the first condition of the EC, it is stipulated as under:
1. “The project proponent shall ensure that the area to be mined does not fall under Punjab Land Preservation Act (PLPA), 1900, and strict compliance to all the applicable rules and norms, including the Forest (Conservation) Act, 1980; Indian Forest Act, 1927, Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972, Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 etc.”
In view of the above, NOC / clearance certificate from the Forest Department is required with respect to applicability of PLPA, 1900 to the proposed mining area.
The project proponent may submit reply/clarification to the above-said observation within 02 days. |
