The details of the case are given in the note of AEE/EE, RO, SAS Nagar, which may kindly be perused. It is submitted as under :
1) The industry is a small scale unit using rejected batteries as main raw material for which industry is required to obtain actual user certificate cum pass book from the Competent Authority.
2) Earlier, Water and Air consents were granted to the industry with validity upto 30/9/2020 with special conditions that the industry shall comply with the SOPs framed for such units and the consent is valid only for getting actual user certificate, however, these consents will not be valid for procurement and processing of hazardous waste.
3) Now, the case has been received from R.O. with recommendations to grant consent upto 31/3/2021, but R.O. has not submitted as to whether the industry is complying with the SOPs framed for such units as well as the actual user certificate obtained by the industry or not.
4) This is not a regular case and in my view it needs verification at site for further renewal / grant of consents / authorisations.
5) R.O. has not submitted the operational status of the industry.
In view of above, if approved, E.E., R.O., SAS Nagar may be requested to
reexamine the case in light of the above observations and resubmit the same with fresh recommendations. |
