It is submitted that no industry specific siting guidelines has been prescribed by the Board for the Rolling Mills, hence general siting criteria prescribed by the Board will prevail.
The industry is complying with the general siting criteria of the Board i.e it is located at a distance of 100m outside the Municipal Council limits/ phirni of village/ designated residential area /residential area comprising of 15 pucca houses by the Competent Authority of the State. Moreover, the industry has obtained CLU of the proposed site of 2.875 acres at Village Matheri (H.B.. No. 124),Tehsil Morinda,Distt. Roopnagar from DTP, Punjab from agriculture to industrial (manufacturing of railway track fittings) vide memo no. 87/-STP(S)/SS-11(RI) dated 13.08.2020.
