It is intimated that the subject cited rice sheller was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, valid upto 12.09.2016 which was valid upto 30.6.2014. Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent under Water Act, 1974 alongwith documents. The industry has deposited Rs 18000/- R. No 92/4820 dated 26.8.2014 under Water Act, 1974 which is adequate upto 30.06.2019. The industry has submitted compliance report to the conditions of previous consents granted.
Accordingly, the industry was visited by AEE on 29.08.2014 and observed that the industry was not in operation due to the off seasons during the visit. The domestic effluent is discharged onto land for plantation after passing through septic tank. The industry is complying with the code of practice as per State Govt. order dated 15.10.2013.
May if approved consent under Water Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry upto 30.06.2019 with same terms and conditions and with special condition that the industry will comply with all the conditions/provisions and amendment in code of practice prescribed for such type of industries vide Punjab Govt. notification dated 15.10.2013 at all the times.
