<p style="text-align: justify;">It is submitted that the industry is a plywood unit and has made expansion without obtaining NOC from the Forest Department.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The industry was earlier given personal hearing before the Senior Environmental Engineer, Zonal Office-II, Ludhiana on 01.10.2021 where the industry has submitted that it has approached concerned officer at Forest Department to change the name of above said license. According to the Forest Department, it will take 30 days minimum to change the name because this will be rectified from their Chandigarh office and the industry will submit the same after one month.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The previous ‘Consent to Operate’ and the ‘Consent to Establish’ (NOC for expansion) was granted only on the condition that the industry shall submit the license from the Forest Department. However, the industry has not submitted the rectified/new forest license till date. </p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">In view of above, may if approved, it is recommended that the present application of the industry be refused and separate e-noting for u/s 33-A of the Water Act, 1974 and u/s 31-A of the Air Act, 1981 be initiated against the industry, please.</p>
