<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.5in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">It is intimated that, the industry is a small scale orange category washing unit and was earlier granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/LDH3/2021/15529382 dated 09.08.2021 for the production of washing of garments @ 325 Nos./D, T-Shirts @ 1200 Nos./D, Shirts @ 700 Nos./D and Jackets @ 100 Nos./D for discharge of trade effluent @ 23.0 KLD into sewer after treatment through ETP and domestic effluent @ 3.0 KLD into sewer, which was expired on 08.08.2022.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.5in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">Now the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 for the production of washing of garments @ 325 Nos./D, T-Shirts @ 1200 Nos./D, Shirts @ 700 Nos./D and Jackets @ 100 Nos./D for discharge of trade effluent @ 23.0 KLD into sewer after treatment through ETP and domestic effluent @ 3.0 KLD into sewer. The industry had already deposited </span><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Rs. 1,20,000/- vide R. No. 63/5238 dated 03.07.2019 under Water Act, 1974, which is adequate upto 30.09.2023.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">The industry was visited by AEE of this office on 22.08.2022 and it was observed that:- </span></p>

<li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">The industry was in operation and was engaged in manufacturing and washing of garments.</span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">The industry has installed ETP for treatment of its effluent @ 23 KLD. ETP consist of Collection tank -> Dosing arrangements -> Flocculator -> Tube settler -> Pre-filtration tank -> Filters -> Outlet.</span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">An effluent sample was collected during visit and sent to Board's lab Ludhiana for analysis. As per analysis report received conc. of various parameters are pH @ 7.2, TSS @ 24, TDS @ 436, COD @ 140, BOD @ 17 and O & G @ BDL. Results of all the parameters are within the limit prescribed by the Board. </span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">The industry is maintaining the record of operation of ETP viz-a-viz trade effluent being generated.</span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">The industry is complying with the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974.</span></li>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;"> In view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry upto 30.09.2023 with suitable terms and conditions.</span></p> |
