<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.5in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">It is intimated that the industry is a small scale orange category plastic recycling unit and the industry was earlier granted consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/LDH3/2021/16505253 dated 29.09.2021 and Air Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/LDH3/2021/16505221 dated 29.09.2021 for the production of scrap of plastic can/containers from food units @ 1 T/day with disposal of domestic effluent @ 0.8 KLD onto land for plantation after septic tank, both are valid upto 30.09.2022. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.5in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 for the production of scrap of plastic can/containers from food units (without chemicals) @ 1 MT/day with disposal of domestic effluent @ 0.8 KLD onto land for plantation after septic tank. The industry had already deposited Rs. 8400/- R. no. 42/5007 dated 21.05.2019, Rs. 7500/- vide R. No. 94/5239 dated 09.09.2019 & Rs. 3300/- vide UTR. no. 1911598621 dated 03.02.2020 under Water Act, 1974 and Rs. 8400/- R. no. 43/5007 dated 21.05.2019, Rs. 7500/- vide R. No. 94/5239 dated 09.09.2019 & Rs. 3,300/- vide UTR. no. 1911593141 dated 03.02.2020 under Air Act, 1981, which are adequate upto 31.12.2027.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The site of the industry was visited by AEE of this office on 02.09.2022 and observed that:- </span></p>

The industry is engaged in the manufacturing process of shredding of plastic scrap. </span></p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;">3.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">There is no generation of trade effluent and only domestic effluent is generated. The industry has provided septic tank for the treatment of domestic effluent and same is discharges onto plantation/green area. </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;">4.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has also applied for obtaining the fresh registration under Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2016, which is under process.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;">In view of the above, it is recommended that Consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry upto 30.09.2027 with suitable conditions.</span></p> |
