<h6 style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 11.5pt; font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif'; font-weight: normal;">Earlier the industry was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Fresh/LDH1/2017/5845491 dated 20.07.2017 valid upto 31.12.2021 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Fresh/LDH1/2017/5845374 dated 20.07.2017 valid upto 31.12.2021 with special conditions mentioned therein.</span></h6>
<h6 style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 11.5pt; font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif'; font-weight: normal;"> The industry is a small scale green category unit & engaged in manufacturing of Industrial Bags, Sheets & H.M Bags.</span></h6>
<h6 style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 11.5pt; font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif'; font-weight: normal;"> T</span><span style="font-size: 11.5pt; font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif'; font-weight: normal;">he industry has applied for fresh 'Consent to Operate' under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981. To verify the facts, the industry was visited by AEE of this office on 05.09.2022 & following observations were made:-</span></h6>
<ol style="margin-top: 0in;" start="1" type="1">
<li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 11.5pt; font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry was in operation during the visit & engaged in manufacturing of Industrial Bags, Sheets & H.M Bags.</span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 11.5pt; font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry has no source of trade effluent generation & only domestic effluent @ 0.2 KLD is being discharged into sewer.</span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 11.5pt; font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">There is no source of air pollution such as boiler/furnace etc.</span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 11.5pt; font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry has not installed D.G. set.</span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 11.5pt; font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry has submitted building plan prepared by the competent person under Factory Act, 194.</span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 11.5pt; font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry is complying with the various provisions of Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981</span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 11.5pt; font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The competency to decide consent lies with Environmental Engineer, Regional Office, as it is a green category unit.</span></li>
</ol>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 0.5in; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 11.5pt; font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 11.5pt; font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';"> In view of the above, it is recommended that the industry may be granted 'Consent to Operate' under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 upto 31.12.2025 with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board & with special conditions that:</span></p>
<p class="TableParagraph" style="margin: 0in 0.45pt 0.0001pt 80.85pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;">a)<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry shall obtain registration under Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2016</span></p>
<p class="TableParagraph" style="margin: 0in 0.45pt 0.0001pt 80.85pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;">b)<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry shall not install any water and air polluting machinery without prior permission of the Board.</span></p>

<p class="TableParagraph" style="margin: 0in 0.45pt 0.0001pt 80.85pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;">c)<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry's shall not manufacture any kind of carry bag/banned Single Use Plastic items.</span></p> |
