The industry was granted consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/LDH4/2021/17108830 dated 29/11/2021, upto 30/06/2026 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/LDH4/2021/15326049 dated 22/05/2021, upto 30/06/2022 with certain conditions.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: Tahoma;">Now, the industry has applied renewal of consent to operate under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS on 02.09.2022. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: Tahoma;">The industry has deposited consent fee Rs. 5,120/- (Rs. 4,620/- under the Air Act, 1981, Rs. 500/- form fee) vide R.No. 571501601 dated 30.08.2022, which is adequate upto 30.06.2024 against gross value of fixed assets Rs. 16.82 Lacs and plant & machinery Rs. 15.85 Lacs as on 31.07.2022.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: Tahoma;">Accordingly, the industry was visited by undersigned on 13.09.2022 and observed as under:-</span></p>

Further, the industry has also installed 03 gas fired ovens with adequate stack height.</span></p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: -27.0pt; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Verdana; mso-bidi-font-family: Verdana;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">5.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: Tahoma;">The industry has made an agreement dated 27.09.2019 with TSDF Nimbua for disposal of category 21.1 i.e. process waste & residue.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: normal;"><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Verdana, 'sans-serif';">In view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.06.2024 with suitable conditions, please.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: normal;"><strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: Tahoma;">The competency to decide the application lies with Senior Environmental Engineer, Zonal Office-2, Ludhiana.</span></strong></p> |
