| Clarification Note: |
The industry was visited by officer of this office on 21.06.2022 & observed as under:
1. The industry was in operation during visit & engaged in manufacturing of agriculture harvesting equipment.
2. The industry is not generating any trade effluent & only domestic effluent @ 1.6 KLD is being discharged onto land for plantation after STP.
3. The treated effluent samples were collected and as per Zonal Lab-1, Ludhiana letter no. 688 dated 30.06.2022, the TSS came out to be above the prescribed limit of the Board.
In view of the above, it has been decided to refuse the Consent to Operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974.
As such, you are hereby given an opportunity of show cause notice along with opportunity of personal hearing on 15/09/2022 at 11:00 a.m. before Environmental Engineer, Regional Office-1, Ludhiana failing which the action as proposed will be taken without giving any further opportunity of hearing.
