<p style="text-align: justify;">It is intimated that the action u/s 33-A of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 has been proposed alongwith an opportunit of peronal hearing to the Competent Authority as the settling tank were found damaged and washed wastewater was being byepassed/ discharged onto land for irrigation and not adequate plantaion area and code of practice not complied. Further action is under process.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Now, the industry has applied for obtaining CTO both the Acts and competency to decide the said application lies with E.E, Regional Office. Regional Office has reported that the industry has complied with Code of practice and closed the byepass. </p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"> </p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">It is pertinent to mention here that the Board has already imposed amounting to Rs. 1.0 Lacs as environmental compensation on such type of violations in another unit namely M/s Jai Durga Screening Plant and Shri Krishna Screening Plant.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"> </p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">If approved, the following action may be taken:</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">1) Amounting to Rs. 1.0 Lacs as environmental compensation may be imposed to the industry as damage the environment.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">2) Notice to be proposed u/s 33-A of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be dropped.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">3) E.E, Regional Office may be requested to decided the consent application at its own level as per policy of the Board.</p>
