<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 2cm; text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-US">Earlier, the Consent to Establish was granted to the industry for production of Steel Ingot Alloys and Non-alloys @ 85 MT/day by installing 01 no. induction furnace of capacity 7 TPH which was valid upto 21/02/2022 subject to suitable conditions and special conditions as under: -</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="margin-left: 0cm; text-indent: -18pt; text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US">1.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-US">The industry will submit the completion report of its APCD & side hood from PSCST, Chandigarh before the commissioning of its unit. </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 0cm; text-indent: -18pt; text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US">2.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-US">The industry will obtain the 'Consent to Operate' under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 from the board before the commissioning of its unit. </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 0cm; text-indent: -18pt; text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US">3.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-US">The Annual production of the unit will be less than 30,000 MT. </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 0cm; text-indent: -18pt; text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US">4.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-US">The industry will obtain the NOC/permission from the other concerned departments. </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin-left: 0cm; text-indent: -18pt; text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US">5.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-US">The industry shall bound to comply with the conditions of Land Use Certificate letter issued by Department of Town & Country Planning, Punjab vide memo no. 3083 dated 21.02.2020.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 2cm; text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-US">The industry has now applied for renewal ‘Consent to Operate’ under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 along with requisite documents and fees.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 2cm; text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-US">The industry has submitted Latest CA Certificate regarding value of Fixed Assets as on 31-05-2022, Compliance report of NOC Conditions, PSPCL Bill, Change of Land Use Certificate (CLU), Process chart, Completion certificate of APCD from Punjab State Council for Science & Technology, Site and Location plan, registry. The documents submitted by the industry may kindly be perused.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 2cm; text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-US">The industry was visited by officer of this office on 15.09.2022 and it was observed that; </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="text-indent: -18pt; text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US">1.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-US">The industry is an induction furnace and was in operation during visit. </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-indent: -18pt; text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US">2.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-US">The industry has installed Bag house filter as APCD with side suction hood. The industry has submitted provisional completion certificate of APCD with furnace of capacity 7 TPH from PSCST vide letter no. 163 dated 20.05.2022.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-indent: -18pt; text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US">3.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-US">The side suction hood was properly placed over the crucible & proper suction was seen with no emissions were seen within the shed. </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-indent: -18pt; text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US">4.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-US">The air emission samples were collected by Zonal Lab-Ludhiana. As per the Zonal lab letter no. 1378 dated 23/09/2022, the Particulate matter came out to be 45 mg/Nm3 against 150 mg/Nm3 which is within the prescribed limits of the Board.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-indent: -18pt; text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US">5.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-US">The industry has not generated any trade effluent only domestic effluent is being discharged onto land for plantation after septic tank. </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-indent: -18pt; text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US">6.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-US">The industry is maintaining the record of Energy meter of APCD and APCD dust and has designated a separate room for Hazardous waste storage with lock and key arrangement.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="text-indent: -18pt; text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US">7.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-US">The industry has installed one DG set of capacity 75 KVA with canopy and adequate stack height. </span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 2cm; text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-US">In view of above, if approved, Consent to Operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.09.2027<span style="color: red;"> </span>with suitable conditions, please.</span></p>
