<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">It is submitted that the industry granted fresh consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Varied/SGR/2021/14023376 dated. 07/05/2021 valid upto 30/09/2027 & the Air Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Varied/SGR/2021/14023209 dated. 07/05/2021 valid upto 30/09/2021 for manufacturing of Chill Rolls and All type of CI/MS Castings @ 7 Metric Tonnes/Day by using Pig Iron and MS Scrap @ 10 Metric Tonnes/Day,<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>as<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>raw material, with certain conditions mentioned therein.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 54.65pt; line-height: normal;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Now, the industry has applied for obtaining renewal consent to operate under the Air Act, 1981 for manufacturing of Chill Rolls and All Type of CI/ MS Castings @ 8.75 MT/day by using Pig Iron and M.S Scrap @ 12.5 MT/day, as raw material along with requisite documents.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 54.65pt; line-height: normal;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has deposited consent fee of Rs. 18000/- deposited vide UTR. No. 555130358 dated 22/09/2022 under the Air Act,<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>1981 against the gross value of fixed assets of Rs. 639.10, which is adequate upto 30/09/2027. The industry has also deposited Rs. 2900/- deposited vide UTR. No. 555130358 dated 22/09/2022 as NOC Regularization Fee. The industry has submitted that the increase in value of assets is due to installation new lathe machines to improve the quality of the job work and there is no increase in production of the industry. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 54.65pt; line-height: normal;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has submitted the air emission sampling report of induction furnace installed as APCD with bag filter from Board’s lab on 27/07/2021, as per analysis report, the concentrations of SPM was found 107 mg/Nm3 and 110 mg/Nm3, which is within the permissible limits prescribed by the Board for such type of industry.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 35.25pt; line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in .0001pt .25in;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">To verify the facts, the industry was visited by AEE of this office on 03/10/2022 and it was observed as under:-</span></p>

<li class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry was in operation and engaged in manufacturing of Chill Rolls & CI/ MS Castings and the induction furnace of capacity 0.5 T/heat as well as APCD was in operation.</span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has installed 02 no. induction furnaces of capacity 2.0 T/heat & 0.5 T/heat, which are equipped with separate bag filter house as APCDs and stack of adequate height.</span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has installed one oil fired annealing furnace, which was equipped with stack of adequate height.</span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">There is no generation of trade effluent, accordingly, the industry has not provide any ETP within its premises. </span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Only domestic effluent is generated and is being discharged onto land for plantation after passing through septic tank. </span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has installed 01 no. DG set of capacity 125 KVA equipped with canopy and adequate stack height within its premises.</span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry is complying with the conditions consents to operate granted to it under the Water Act, 1974 & the Air Act, 1981.</span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has already submitted the completion certificate issued by PSCST vide no. PSCST/CC/318 dated 24/07/2019 for installation of APCD with induction furnaces of capacity 2.0T/heat and capacity 500 kg/heat.</span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry is complying with SOPs prescribed by the Board.</span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has been advised to apply for authorization of the Board immediately.</span></li>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">In view of above, it is recommended that renewal of consents to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30/09/2027 for manufacturing of CI/ MS Castings @ 8.75 MT/day by using Pig Iron and M.S Scrap @ 12.5 MT/day, as raw material, with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board.</span></p> |
