<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">It is submitted that earlier the unit was granted consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Varied/RPN/2018/7488105 dated 29/05/2018 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Varied/RPN/2018/7488032 dated 29/05/2018, both of which were expired on 30/09/2022 for Shuttle Race @ 96000 Number/Year and TT came @ 120000 Number/Year subject to suitable terms and conditions mentioned therein.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">Now, the industry has applied for obtaining renewal of consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 alongwith compliance of previous consent, analysis report of stack sampling from PBTI Mohali, agreement for lifting of effluent generating from electroplating section with M/s JBR which is valid upto 23.12.2023 and consent fee.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">The industry has also submitted the CA certificate of Rs. 3.80 lakhs dated 22.08.2022 with value of plant & machinery is of Rs. 2.87 Lakhs. The industry has deposited Rs. 5500/- vide UTR No. SBIN522235101132 dated 23.08.2022 under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, Rs. 5500/- dated 23.08.2022 under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and Rs. 500/- as application form fee. As such, the fee deposited by the industry is adequate upto 30.09.2027 as per circulated dated 29.10.2018.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">Further, the industry has also attached the stack emission analysis report from PBTI, Mohali dated 12.09.2022 and the analysis results are <strong>attached alongwith</strong> and are conforming to the prescribed standards.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';"><span style="mso-tab-count: 2;"> </span>Further, the unit was visited by the AEE of this office on 19.10.2022 and Sh. Prem Singh, Proprietor was contacted. During visit, it was observed as under:</span></p>

Cupola furnace was not in operation and as informed is only operated once a month to meet with the ongoing demand. </span></p>

Proper sampling arrangement provided with stack.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style';"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">3.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">The unit has stored effluent after electroplating with nickel and chrome in plastic tank of capacity 1000 ltr. The effluent was last lifted on 24.09.2022 by M/s JBR @ 500 ltr as per receipt record maintained.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style';"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">4.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">The unit has installed water meter with pipeline leading to electroplating section and reading was noted as 17120 ltr. Consumption record also maintained and currently stored effluent matches with effluent stored.</span></p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style';"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">8.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">The unit has installed environmental data board at the entrance.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">From above, it is clear that the unit is complying with the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">In view of above and the agenda generated, may if approved, it is recommended that consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be renewed upto 30.09.2027 subject to the suitable conditions and following special conditions as under:</span></p>
