The industry was granted 'consent to operate' under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide. no. CTOW/Renewal/LDHKH/2021/16497411 dated 02/12/2021 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/LDHKH/2021/16497409 dated 02/12/2021 both valid upto 30/09/2022 for disposal of trade effluent @ 0.5 KLD via forced electric evaporation with special condition that the industry shall apply for obtaining authorization under Hazardous & Other Wastes (Management & Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016. In compliance to the special condition, the industry has applied for obtaining authorization under Hazardous & Other Wastes (Management & Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 for category 5.1. Neither, the industry has signed an agreement with TSDF Nimbua nor it has clarified the disposal of sludge generating from forced evaporation of trade effluent. |
