<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">Please peruse note of AEE.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">It is submitted that the industry is a small scale green category unit and was earlier found manufacturing plastic carry bags. Accordingly, directions u/s 33-A of Water Act, 1974 & u/s 31-A of Air Act, 1981 were issued against the industry for closure and PSPCL authorities were directed to disconnect power supply available with the industry. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">Thereafter, the industry applied for ‘Consent to Operate’ under the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 for manufacturing of industrial packing for tube & bags @ 300 Kg/day. The industry was visited by officer of the Board on 05.04.2022 and observed that the industry was not in operation and electric supply of the industry was lying disconnected. The industry has removed the stock of carry bags after destroying the same. No stock of carry bags was found stored in industry. No DG set was installed by the industry. No trade effluent was generated and only domestic effluent was being discharged into sewer. The industry is located in the designated Industrial Area-A of Ludhiana city.. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">The industry was granted consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 both valid upto 07.11.2022 for short term of six months. The electric supply was also restored for short period of six months. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">Now the industry has applied for renewal Consent to Operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 for manufacturing of industrial packing material @ 300 Kg/day. The industry was visited by officer of the Board on 31.10.2022 and observed as under: </span></p>

The industry is using virgin granules only for manufacturing of industrial packing (plastic). </span></p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; margin: 0in 0in 0in .25in;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; mso-fareast-font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">4.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">No DG set is installed by the industry.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">In view of above report of Regional Office, it is recommended as under: </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; margin: 0in 0in 0in .25in;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; mso-fareast-font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">1.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">Regional office may be allowed to extend validity of consent to operate granted to the industry under Air Act, 1981 for further 6 months.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; margin: 0in 0in 0in .25in;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; mso-fareast-font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">2.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">Directions u/s 31-A of Air Act, 1981 may be issued to PSPCL Authorities to restore electric connection of the industry for further 6 months. </span></p>
