<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"> It is intimated that after a hearing dated 1/9/21 the Chairman of the Board decided as under 1. The project proponent shall complete the development of the green belt within 15 days. </span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">2. The project proponent shall operate its STP regularly and efficiently so as to achieve the prescribed standards. </span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">3. The project proponent shall maintain the record regarding the operation of the STP and the quantity of effluent treated in it on daily basis. </span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">4. The project proponent shall not discharge any effluent into any water body and shall ensure that treated effluent is discharged as per the approvals granted to it. </span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">5. The project proponent shall apply for consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, and for authorization under the HWM Rules, 2016, within 15 days.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"> 6. The project proponent shall apply for ‘consent to establish (NOC) within 15 days, which is going to expire on 23.9.2021. </span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">7. The project proponent shall ensure the completion and commissioning of the proposed modules of the STP within two months. 8. The project proponent shall get the validity of the environmental clearance granted to it extended well before the expiry of the same.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"> 9. The project proponent shall ensure the installation of mechanical composters of adequate capacity so as to handle all the municipal solid waste generated from the project within two months. </span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">10. On the basis of best assessment and judgement, an environmental compensation of Rs.2.0 Lacs is imposed to the project proponent. And the project proponent shall deposit Rs.2.0 Lacs as environmental compensation within 15 days in the office of the Environmental Engineer, Regional Office, SAS Nagar. </span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">11. The project proponent shall deposit a bank guarantee of Rs.10.0 Lacs within 15 days in the office of the Environmental Engineer, Regional Office, SAS Nagar as an assurance to comply with the environmental laws in the future. In case of failure to comply with the environmental laws, this bank guarantee shall be got encashed without further notice. </span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">12. The Environmental Engineer, Regional Office, SAS Nagar shall visit the site, monitor the STP installed, verify the mode of disposal of effluent, verify the application submitted by the industry, and shall send further recommendations in the matter on the decisions as above.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">It is intimated RO has not given his pointwise comments on compliance with the hearing decision.</span></p>
