Further observations are as under:-</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>The industry has applied for CTE extension under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 & Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 with requisite documents for expansion of existing industry.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>The project proponent has already granted CTE issued vide no. CTE/Exp/ASR/2021/17245159 dated 18/11/2021, which is valid up to 17/11/2022 for proposed expansion of product of Dyed & Finished cloth @ 1.0 MTD by using proposed raw material @ Undyed & unfinished cloth @ 1.0 MTD, Dyes & Chemicals @ 10 Kgs/day with suitable conditions mentioned therein.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>Now, the project proponent has applied for obtaining CTE extension for further one year. The industry has submitted a copy of CTE issued to it along with compliance of conditions. The industry has submitted a copy of land use clarificaiton issued by DTP, Amritsar vide no. DTP(A)/AL-20/2138 dated 01/12/2021 falling under the village Bal Kalan, District Amritsar, copy of previous granted CTE. The project proponent has also submitted the reason for non-completion of project within stipulated time that "Due to some financial constraints we are unable to complete the expansion of our unit & so we need 1 more year for the completion of our proposed expansion". The industry has also requested to grant for CTE extension.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>The site was visited by officer of the Board on 14.11.2022 and observed as following:-</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>It is further intimated that the industry is complying with the conditions of consents granted earlier under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981. The proposed process of the industry falls in Red category in small scale sector and competency to decide the case lies with The Senior Environmental Engineer of the Board.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span><span style="mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that t</span>he consent to establish (NOC) under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be extended for further one year <span style="mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">as per policy of the Board.</span></span></p> |
