<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: justify;">The industry is a small scale red category dyeing industry and had obtained Consent to Operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 upto 30/06/2022. Earlier, it was visited by the officer of the Board on 10/09/2022 and due to the violations observed, directions u/s 33-A of the Water Act, 1974 were confirmed against the industry for its closure. The PSPCL authorities were directed to disconnect electric supply of the industry.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: justify;">Now, the industry has again applied for Consent to Operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: justify;">The industry was visited by Officer of the Board on 10/11/2022 to process the case and to verify the compliance of the directions issued by the Board and it was observed as under: -</p>

The industry is also developing additional plantation area of 1 acres to increase the plantation area and land development was under progress.</p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; margin: 0in 0in 0in .25in;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">5.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The industry has diverted Boiler blow down to ETP. The backwash line was also connected to collection tank.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; margin: 0in 0in 0in .25in;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">6.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The industry has provided Hazardous waste storage room with lock and key arrangement.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; margin: 0in 0in 0in .25in;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">7.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The PSPCL has disconnected the electricity connection of the industry and has issued the TDC No. 123 dated 10/11/2023.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin-bottom: 0in; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify;"> </p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: justify;">In view of above, it is recommended as under:</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo2; margin: 0in 0in 0in .25in;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">1.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->Consent to Operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry for six months with special conditions as proposed by AEE vide note dated 11.11.2022.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo2; margin: 0in 0in 0in .25in;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">2.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The PSPCL Authorities may be directed to restore electric connection of the industry temporarily for six months.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo2; margin: 0in 0in 0in .25in;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">3.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The Regional Office may be requested to monitor the industry as per policy of the Board and send further recommendations accordingly.</p>
