<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="margin-left: 0in; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin-left: 0in; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';"> Now, the industry has applied for renewal consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 for production of <span style="background: white;">Embroidery threads @ 500 Kgs/day for discharge of trade effluent @ 50.0 KLD into 15 MLD CETP for the dyeing cluster of Bahadurke Road, Ludhiana and domestic effluent @ 1.5 KLD into 15 MLD CETP for the dyeing cluster of Bahadurke Road, Ludhiana</span>. The industry has deposit Rs. 54,000/- vide R.no. 822528250 dated 26.05.2021 under Water Act, 1974, Rs. 14,900/- vide UTR no. 000128739168 dated 03.11.2022 under Rs. 10,800/- as NOC regularization fee, Rs. 3600/- penalty fee and Rs. 500/- application form fee, which is adequate upto 30.06.2026.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; line-height: 150%; mso-layout-grid-align: none; text-autospace: none;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-language: PA;">The site was visited by officer of this office on 15.11.2022 and observed that:-</span></p>

The industry has installed 05 cone dyeing machines of capacity 130 kg, 60 kg, 30 kg, 20 kg and 10 g each.</span></p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l2 level1 lfo1; mso-layout-grid-align: none; text-autospace: none;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma; mso-bidi-language: PA;">3.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-language: PA;">The industry has installed digital flow meter at the final outlet and linked the same with the online SCADA system of Forbs marshal server and the same is in operation.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l2 level1 lfo1; mso-layout-grid-align: none; text-autospace: none;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma; mso-bidi-language: PA;">4.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Earlier consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 was granted to the industry for the generation of trade effluent @ 50 KLD, now the industry had applied for renewal consent to operate for the same trade effluent @ 50 KLD, which is in accordance with the shares obtained by the industry from the SPV of CETP-15 MLD. </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l2 level1 lfo1; mso-layout-grid-align: none; text-autospace: none;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma; mso-bidi-language: PA;">5.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry is complying with the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.5in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; background: white;">It is mentioned here that the CETP 15 MLD is being regularly monitored by this office and it was observed that the CETP is not achieving the inlet designed parameters as per the DPR as well as the stringent discharge parameters at the final outlet.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="margin-left: 0in; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">In view of above, it is recommended that:</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo2; mso-layout-grid-align: none; text-autospace: none; margin: 0in 0in .0001pt .75in;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;">1.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry for the disposal of trade effluent @ 48.5 KLD and domestic effluent @ 1.5 KLD into the conveyance system of CETP-15 MLD for the period of one year with the special condition that:- </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo3; mso-layout-grid-align: none; text-autospace: none; margin: 0in 0in .0001pt 1.25in;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol;">·<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry shall make the necessary arrangements to achieve the effluent standards as per the inlet designed parameters of the CETP.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo3; mso-layout-grid-align: none; text-autospace: none; margin: 0in 0in .0001pt 1.25in;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol;">·<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-language: PA;">There shall be no physical expansion of the unit either with the installation of new machinery or with the permission for enhanced electricity load, after the varied consents are granted for increased discharge of effluent.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo3; mso-layout-grid-align: none; text-autospace: none; margin: 0in 0in .0001pt 1.25in;"><span style="font-family: Symbol; font-size: 16px;">·</span><span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif'; font-size: 12pt;">The industry shall stop discharging its effluent in case due to any reason the CETP is not operational.</span></p> |
