<p style="text-align: justify;">The agenda note and report / recommendations of JEE/EE, RO, may kindly be perused.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The project proponent was granted consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981, both valid upto 30.09.2022. Now the PP has applied for renewal of the same along with requisite documents. The PP has already deposited consents fee, which is adequate upto 30.09.2026 under both acts.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The unit was visited by the officer of RO on 11.11.2022 and observed as under : -</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">1. The PP has provided 49 Rooms, 01 restaurant and 04 party halls having total gathering capacity of around 200 persons, no function was undergoing during the visit.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">2. The PP has provided 01 kitchen having duct system leading to roof top.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">3. The hotel has provided oil & grease trap cum septic which further leads to sewer.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">4. The PP has submitted an analysis report from Zonal lab, Ludhiana vide no. 2288 dated 17.09.2021. As per analysis report, results of various parameters are pH = 7.3, TSS =46mg/l, BOD = 52mg/l, COD = 160mg/l, O & G = 7.2mg/l and TDS = 641mg/l. The PP is complying with the prescribed standards as mentioned in schedule-VI of Environment ( Protection ) Act, 1986.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">5. The PP has provided a water meter at the source of fresh water supply and reading was 7132 KL. The PP is maintaining the record of the same.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">6. The unit has provided 03 D.G sets, out of which 02 of capacity 125 KVA and 01 of capacity 62 KVA. All the DG sets were equipped with canopy and having adequate stack heights.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">7. The representative informed that the solid waste is being given to MCL</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">8. The PP has submitted copy of NOC from MCL for disposal of wastewater into MC sewer.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">9. The hotel has not provided rain water harvesting system.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">As such, the PP is complying with the provisions of Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">In view of the above, it is recommended that CTO under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.09.2026 subjected to general conditions and special conditions as under:-</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">1. The Hotel shall comply with the Mechanism/Guidelines for control of Pollution and Enforcement of Environment Norms at individual Establishments and the Area/Cluster of Restaurants/Hotels/Motels/Banquets etc. issued vide Board's Office order No. SEE(HQ-2)/64 dated 02.02.2021, within this period.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">2. The project proponent to ensure that there will be no public nuisance on account of parties/marriage functions/any other function to be held in the hotel premises.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">3. The project proponent will comply with the provisions of Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) rules, 2000 and will ensure that there is no function or any activities in the open during night time i.e. from 10:00 PM to 06:00 AM.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">4. The project proponent shall ensure that whole of the municipal solid waste is to be handled and disposed off in an environmentally sound manner and to be lifted by either Municipal Corporation or by the agency authorized by the M.C. Ludhiana for further treatment and disposal.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">5. The hotel shall install water meter at source of water supply i.e. (Own submersible) record the daily consumption of water and submit the copy of record in the office of Environmental Engineer, PPCB, RO-III, Ludhiana on monthly basis.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">6. The hotel shall provide rain water harvesting system</p>
