CTOW/Renewal/HSP/2018/7837398 dated 24.07.2018 valid upto 30.09.2022 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/HSP/2018/7823956 dated 24.07.2018 valid upto 30.09.2022. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; color: black; mso-themecolor: text1; background: white;">Earlier the industry was visited by the officer of this office on 11.11.2021 and air emission sampling was carried out and as per analysis report received from ZO<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Lab., Jalandhar vide no. 3190-92 dated 26.11.2021, the PM is within the limits prescribed by the Board. The industry has also submitted bank guarantee of Rs. 1.00, which is valid upto 29.03.2023.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; color: black; mso-themecolor: text1; background: white;">Now the industry has applied for renewal consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The industry has submitted earlier granted consents, Latest CA Certificate.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; color: black; mso-themecolor: text1; background: white;">The industry has deposited Rs. 15000/- vide UTR No. N250222108936160 dated 09.07.2022 under Air Act and Rs. 14500/- vide UTR No. N250222108928619 dated 09.07.2022 under Water Act. The fee deposited by the industry is adequate upto 30.09.2027.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; color: black; mso-themecolor: text1; background: white;">The unit was visited by Environmental Engineer along with AEE of this office on 11.11.2022 and observed that the hot mix plant was not in operation. The hot mix plant has installed on bitumen mixer, 1 bitumen tank heater. The bitumen heater is provided with stack. The bitumen mixer is provided with wet scrubber as APCD followed by stack of adequate height along with sampling arrangements. The industry has installed one no. DG Set of capacity 125 KVA with canopy along with adequate stack height.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The plant has constructed re-circulation tank for the re-circulation of scrubbing water. The re-circulation tanks needs to be properly cleaned as there was weed growth in and around the tanks. The hot mix plant needs to properly stabilized the movement area to prevent dust emission due to movement of vehicles. The industry needs to enhance the plantation around the periphery to make it as per code of practice. The domestic effluent generated is discharged into septic tank for the treatment and further disposed onto land for plantation. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; color: black; mso-themecolor: text1; background: white;">In view of the above, it is recommended that the consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry for one year with suitable terms and conditions and special condition that :</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; color: black; mso-themecolor: text1; background: white;">1) The industry shall submit air emission analysis report from the Board's Lab, when come in operation.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; color: black; mso-themecolor: text1; background: white;">2) The industry shall enhance the plantation around the periphery to make it as per code of practice.</span></p> |
