<p style="text-align: justify;">The agenda note and report / recommendations of AEE/EE, RO, may kindly be perused.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The poultry farm was given personal hearing before the Chief Environmental Engineer, Ludhiana on 30.09.2022, wherein it was decided that:-</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">1. The poultry farm shall apply for consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, within 15 days.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">2. Environmental Engineer, Regional Office-3, Ludhiana shall visit the poultry farm, verify the contentions made by it, send conclusive report / recommendations w.r.t. siting criteria laid down by the Board, pollution control arrangements & PPCB/ CPCB guidelines for poultry farm and process the application, within 20 days.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">3. Further action in the matter will be taken after receipt of report from Regional Office-3, Ludhiana.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"> As per the report from RO, the poultry farm is complying with the siting criteria and pollution control measurements. However, there is complaint from MLA Dakha & village panchayat regarding the operation of the poultry farm.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"> </p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">In view of the above, it is recommended that the poultry farm be granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for 3 months and a special team be constituted to check the compliance of Environmental Laws by the poultry farms and grievance of complaint.</p>
