<p>RO has reported that the industry has applied for CTE extension under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 & Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 with requisite documents for expansion of existing industry.</p>
<p><span lang="EN-US"> The project proponent has already granted CTE issued vide no. CTE/Exp/ASR/2021/17245159 dated 18/11/2021, which is valid up to 17/11/2022 for proposed expansion of product of Dyed & Finished cloth @ 1.0 MTD by using proposed raw material @ Undyed & unfinished cloth @ 1.0 MTD, Dyes & Chemicals @ 10 Kgs/day with suitable conditions mentioned therein.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US"> Now, the project proponent has applied for obtaining CTE extension for further one year. The industry has submitted a copy of CTE issued to it along with compliance of conditions. The industry has submitted a copy of land use clarificaiton issued by DTP, Amritsar vide no. DTP(A)/AL-20/2138 dated 01/12/2021 falling under the village Bal Kalan, District Amritsar, copy of previous granted CTE. The project proponent has also submitted the reason for non-completion of project within stipulated time that "Due to some financial constraints we are unable to complete the expansion of our unit & so we need 1 more year for the completion of our proposed expansion". The industry has also requested to grant for CTE extension.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US"> The site was visited by officer of the Board on 14.11.2022 and observed as following:-</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">1. </span><span lang="EN-US">The project is a dyeing & finishing unit.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">2. </span><span lang="EN-US">The industry has already been granted consents to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 valid up</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">to 30/09/202</span><span lang="EN-US">5</span><span lang="EN-US"> (under orange category), after expansion the industry will be covered under Red category.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">3. </span><span lang="EN-US">The industry is complying with the conditions of the consents granted to it.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">4. </span><span lang="EN-US">The industry has submitted Rs. 2300/- via UTR/Ref. No. N306222188375907 dated 02/11/2022 as NOC fee (including Rs. 500/- as an application form fee)</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">5. </span><span lang="EN-US">As the industry was in operation and complying with the conditions of the consents gra</span><span lang="EN-US">nted to it.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">6. </span><span lang="EN-US">The industry </span><span lang="EN-US">has started </span><span lang="EN-US">work </span><span lang="EN-US">for the proposed expansion</span><span lang="EN-US"> but not completed due to personal/financial problems as told by the representative present during the visit</span><span lang="EN-US">.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US"> It is further intimated that the industry is complying with the conditions of consents granted earlier under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981. </span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">RO has recommended that </span><span lang="EN-US">the consent to establish (NOC) under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be extended for further one year as per policy of the Board.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">EE ZO has observed that as per special condition no. '2' the industry shall submit the designation of land use of the industry as per approved Master Plan of Amritsar.</span></p>
