<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-right: 7.3pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 115%;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%; color: black; mso-themecolor: text1;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The industry has now applied for renewal of consent to operate Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS with same production capacity. The industry has changed its name from M/s GNA Udyog limited to M/s GNA DRIVELINES LIMITED, it has submitted a certificate of incorporation from Ministry of Corporate as proof for the same.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-right: 7.3pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 115%;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%; color: black; mso-themecolor: text1;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The <span style="color: black; mso-themecolor: text1;">industry was visited by AEE of Regional Office-2, Jalandhar on14.10.2022 and it was observed that:-</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="margin-left: 44.25pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -26.25pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Arial; mso-ansi-language: EN-IN;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">1.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-ansi-language: EN-IN;">The industry was in operation during visit and is engaged in manufacturing of Auto parts from steel sheets as raw material and various processes included are forging, heating, painting,heat treatment,CNC machines,Machine shop etc.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 44.25pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -26.25pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Arial; mso-ansi-language: EN-IN;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">2.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-ansi-language: EN-IN;">The industry has installed oil fired forging furnaces with hood and adequate stack height, 2 no shot blasting machine with bag house filter as APCD and adequate stack, electric induction heaters, hardening furnace, tempering furnace and gas carburizing furnaces with adequate stack height.</span></p>

There is continuous movement of heavy vehicles on this area and lot fine dust is being generated by the movement of heavy vehicles. The area is un-metalled and no water sprinkling arrangement has been made over it. Also no buffer area of green belt has been provided by the industry for controlling dust emissions.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 44.25pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -26.25pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Arial; mso-ansi-language: EN-IN;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">5.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-ansi-language: EN-IN;">The industry has not submitted the details of increase of fixed assets which is to the tune of around 2.4 crores. A clarification was raised to the industry in this regard but the industry has failed to submit the detail till date.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; margin: 0cm .9pt .0001pt 0cm;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-ansi-language: EN-IN;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The industry is violating the conditions of consent to operate granted under the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and is therefore violating the provisions of the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: black; mso-themecolor: text1;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Accordingly, the industry was issued show cause notice for refusal of consent to operate under the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 with hearing before CEE Jalandhar on 15.11.2022.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 115%;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The representative of the industry submitted that they are having open area for storage raw material & they are sprinkling water in open area regularly by water tankers, the photographs of the same submitted during the hearings. Further the industry has submitted the details of the machinery which caused increase in fixed assets of the industry. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 115%;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%; color: black; mso-themecolor: text1; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>After hearing the officer of the Board, representative of industry and considering the material facts on record, the Chief Environmental Engineer decided that:-</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><strong><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Arial; color: black; mso-themecolor: text1;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">1)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span></strong><!--[endif]--><strong><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: black; mso-themecolor: text1;">Environmental Engineer Regional office-2, Jalandhar shall visit the industry within 3 days to verify the contentions of the industry made during the hearing & process the consent application on merits. </span></strong></p>
