CTOW/Renewal/SAS/2021/16662566 dated 08/10/2021 having validity upto 30/09/2022 and under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/SAS/2021/16323991 dated 13/09/2021 having validity upto 30/06/2025 for the production of C.I. Casting @ 800 Numbers/day, Shuttle Race @ 400 Numbers/day, TT Cam @ 400 Numbers/day by using Pig Iron & Lime Stone @ 2.6 TPD as a raw material, subject to certain conditions as mentioned therein.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin; background: white;">It is further submitted that a public complain has been received in this office and the complainant alleged that the industry is generating black smoke in the area and difficult to breath in the air. Accordingly, the site was visited by the AEE of this office on 29/06/2022 and observed some violation.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin; background: white;">Thereafter, the industry was given personal hearing by the Senior Environmental Engineer (ZP-1) on 02/08/2022. After considering the submission by the industry and record file, it was decided as under:</span></p>

No black smoke will be emitted from annealing bathies under any circumstances into the atmosphere. </span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin; background: white;">Now, the industry has applied for varied consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, alongwith requisite documents and fees and production capacity remain same.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin; background: white;">The industry has submitted latest CA certificate of fixed assets of Rs. 10.89 lakh as on 31.03.2022. The industry had already deposited consent fee of Rs. 14600/- on account of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide UTR no. P155210110980306 dated 04.06.2021 and Rs. 14600/- on account of Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide UTR no. P155210110979979 dated 04.06.2021 and also deposited Rs. 10650/- each under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 consent fees vide R. No. 28/5422 dated 07.09.2021, which is adequate upto 30.06.2025 under both Acts.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin; background: white;">The industry has submitted building plans got approved by Er. Sukhjinder Singh, Competent Person approved by Director of Factories, Punjab under the Factories Act, 1948.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin; background: white;">Accordingly, the site of the industry was visited by AEE of this office on 17/11/2022 and it was observed as under:-</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin; background: white;">In view of the above, it is recommended that varied consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry upto 30.06.2025 subject to suitable and additional conditions that:-</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 1.25in; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: -.25in;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin; background: white;">1. The industry shall not discharge its trade effluent into any Choe/ Nallah/ Sewer in any case.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 1.25in; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: -.25in;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin; background: white;">2. The industry shall always bound to maintain record of fresh water consumption as well as disposal of untreated effluent to the CETP on daily basis. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 1.25in; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: -.25in;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin; background: white;">3. The industry shall operate its APCD provided with annealing furnaces and cupola furnaces.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 1.25in; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: -.25in;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin; background: white;">4.
