The industry was granted consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 upto 20.07.2021 and its electric connection was also restored upto 20.07.2021. Thereafter, application applied by the industry for renewal of consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 was refused due to the violations as mentioned in note submitted by AEE. Also, directions u/s 31-A of Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 were issued to concerned Authorities i.e PWD (B&R), Mandi Board and MC, Ludhiana to immediately suspend the work allotted to the industry.             Now, the industry has again applied for renewal of consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. The consent fee deposited by the industry is adequate upto 30.06.2023.             The industry was visited by officer of the Board on 16.11.2022 and observed as under: <p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -19.5pt; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level2 lfo1; background: white; margin: 0cm 4.5pt .0001pt 46.15pt;">1.     The hot mix plant was not in operation during the visit. <p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -19.5pt; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level2 lfo1; background: white; margin: 0cm 4.5pt .0001pt 46.15pt;">2.     The industry has one LDO/HSD fired Hot Mix Plant with wet scrubber as APCD along with adequate stack height & sampling arrangements. <p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -19.5pt; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level2 lfo1; background: white; margin: 0cm 4.5pt .0001pt 46.15pt;">3.     The applicant has now planted fresh saplings along the periphery of the plant. The plantation was carried out in 3 rows in 3 sides and in one side, it was under progress. <p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -19.5pt; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level2 lfo1; background: white; margin: 0cm 4.5pt .0001pt 46.15pt;">4.     The applicant has now provided stacks with the bitumen storage/heating tanks of 15 ft height (AGL). <p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -19.5pt; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level2 lfo1; background: white; margin: 0cm 4.5pt .0001pt 46.15pt;">5.     The industry has now placed movable sprinklers inside the plant. <p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -19.5pt; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level2 lfo1; background: white; margin: 0cm 4.5pt .0001pt 46.15pt;">6.     The industry has now installed new DG Set with canopy and stack height. The older DG Set which was without canopy was lifted from the premises of the industry. <p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -19.5pt; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level2 lfo1; background: white; margin: 0cm 4.5pt .0001pt 46.15pt;">7.     The industry has now installed Environmental Data Board outside the plant. In view of above, it is recommended as under: <p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: normal; mso-list: l2 level1 lfo3; background: white; margin: 0cm 4.5pt .0001pt 28.6pt;">1.    Consent to operate under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry for six months with additional conditions as under:- <p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: normal; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo2; background: white; margin: 0cm 4.5pt .0001pt 42.55pt;">a)    The industry shall comply with important points for prevention of pollution prescribed by the Board for such type of industries. <p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: normal; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo2; background: white; margin: 0cm 4.5pt .0001pt 42.55pt;">b)    The industry shall operate its APCD regularly and efficiently, so as to achieve the prescribed emission standards at all the times. <p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: normal; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo2; background: white; margin: 0cm 4.5pt .0001pt 42.55pt;">c)    The industry shall inform in writing as and when it comes in operation so that the air emission samples could be collected by the Board. <p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: normal; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo2; background: white; margin: 0cm 4.5pt .0001pt 42.55pt;">d)    The industry will always maintain plantation in 3 rows on all along its periphery/ boundary. <p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: normal; mso-list: l2 level1 lfo3; background: white; margin: 0cm 4.5pt .0001pt 28.6pt;">2.    Directions u/s 31-A of Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be issued to PSPCL Authorities to restore electric connection of the industry, temporarily for 6 months. <p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: normal; mso-list: l2 level1 lfo3; background: white; margin: 0cm 4.5pt .0001pt 28.6pt;">3.    Directions u/s 31-A of Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be issued to PWD (B&R), Mandi Board and MC, Ludhiana to resume the work allotted to the industry, temporarily for 6 months.               (Competency –Chairman of the Board)
