CTE/Fresh/LDH1/2020/14023800 dated 21.12.2020 valid up to 20.12.2021 with special conditions that:-</span></p>
<p class="TableParagraph" style="margin: 0.3pt 0in 0.0001pt 23.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><em><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">1.<span style="font-style: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></em><em><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry will install the STP for the treatment of its domestic sewage for disposal onto land for plantation.</span></em></p>
<p class="TableParagraph" style="margin: 0.3pt 0in 0.0001pt 23.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><em><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">2.<span style="font-style: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></em><em><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry will comply with the conditions issued by the STP vide its letter no. 1047 dated 08.06.2020 while granting the CLU.</span></em></p>
<p class="TableParagraph" style="margin: 0.3pt 0in 0.0001pt 23.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><em><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">3.<span style="font-style: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></em><em><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry will not install any polluting machinery upto 500 feet depth from Ludhiana, Delhi National Highway Road</span></em><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">Now the industry has applied fresh consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974.</span></p>
<p class="TableParagraph" style="margin: 0.3pt 0in 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry has deposited Rs. 75600/- vide no. N302222182771505 dated 29.10.2022 under Water Act, 1974, Rs. 5600/- vide no. N302222182771505 dated 29.10.2022 as NOC regularization fee and Rs. 75600/- vide no. N302222182775549 dated 29.10.2022 under Air Act, 1981, which is adequate upto 30.09.2029.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';"> To verify the facts the industry was visited by Environmental Engineer of this office on 18.11.2022 & observed that:-</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 0.5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">1.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry was in operation and is engaged in manufacturing of auto parts.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 0.5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">2.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry has installed 8 nos. electrically heated forging machines out of which only 4 were operational.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 0.5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">3.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry has provided ventilation ducts in the shed where forging machines are installed.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 0.5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">4.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry has also installed automatic machines for finishing of auto parts, which are non-polluting in nature.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 0.5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">5.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry has installed STP for treatment of domestic effluent being generated from the industrial premises.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 0.5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">6.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The STP comprises of O&G trap equalization tank-settler-pre-filtration tank-Dual media filter.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 0.5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">7.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">During the visit, STP was operational, but no record regarding operation of STP has been maintained.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 0.5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">8.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">No sludge was found generated.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 0.5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">9.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">No measuring device has been provided at source of fresh water as well as at the outlet of STP.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 0.5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">10.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The MLSS in the aeration tank was almost nil, samples from outlet of STP as well as from aeration tank and sent to lab for analysis.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 0.5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">11.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">No piping distribution provided for uniform disposal of treated effluent.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 0.5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">12.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry has not submitted compliance of special conditions imposed by the Competent Authority while granting NOC except condition no.1.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 0.5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">13.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry has not submitted approved building plan from Competent Authority. </span></p>

<p class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';"> In view of above, it is recommended that 'Consent to Operate' under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be refused after affording an opportunity of personal hearing.</span></p> |
