<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">It is intimated that the industry is a small<span style="color: red;"> </span>scale red category and the industry was earlier granted consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/LDH3/2021/16311023 dated 09.09.2021 and Air Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/LDH3/2021/16310720 dated 09.09.2021 for dyeing of PC/Cotton Fabrics @ 1500 Kgs/day with trade effluent @ 100.0 KLD onto land for plantation and domestic effluent @ 1.0 KLD onto land for plantation after septic tank. Both consents were expired on 08.09.2022.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Now, the industry has applied for renewal consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 for dyeing of PC/Cotton Fabrics @ 1500 Kgs/day with trade effluent @ 110.0 KLD onto land for plantation and domestic effluent @ 1.0 KLD onto land for plantation. The industry had already deposited Rs. 36,000/- vide R. no. 81/5238 dated 04.07.2019 under Water Act, 1974 & Rs. 18,000/- vide R. no. 80/5238 dated 04.07.2019 under Air Act, 1981 Rs. 7,200/- vide R. no.79/5238 dated 04.07.2019 as NOC regularization fee, and Rs. 27,000/- vide R.no. 000106485658 dated 15.07.2021 under Water Act, 1974 and Rs. 27,000/- vide R.no. 000106485129 dated 15.07.2021 under Air Act, 1981.</span> <span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Adequate upto 30.06.2029 under both acts.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry was visited by Officer of this office on 29.09.2022 and observed as under:-</span></p>

During the visit ETP was not in operation as the dyeing process was also not in operation.</span></p>

Argo waste/Rice husk were being used as fuel. </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">7.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Earlier the air emission sample was collected on 10.01.2022 and the same was sent to the Board’s lab for analysis </span><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'MS Mincho'; mso-ansi-language: EN-IN;">as per which the concentration of particulate matter is 239 mg/Nm<sup>3</sup>, which is within the prescribed limit of 500mg/Nm<sup>3</sup>.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">8.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has installed one D.G set of capacity of 50 KVA, which is with canopy at site.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">9.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry is complying with the provisions under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin-left: 0in; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">In view of above, it is recommended that the consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 maybe granted to the industry upto 30.06.2027 with usual conditions.</span></p> |
