<p style="text-align: justify;">The agenda note and report / recommendations of AEE/EE, RO, may kindly be perused.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">It is intimated that, the industry is a small scale red category washing/printing unit. The industry was earlier granted consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981, which are valid upto 23.11.2022.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Further the directions u/s 33-A of Water Act, 1974 were issued to the PSPCL authorities to restore the electric connection of the unit temporarily upto 23.11.2022 vide Board’s letter no. 3187 dated 24.05.2022.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Now, the industry has applied for renewal consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981. The industry has deposited consents fee, which are adequate upto 31.12.2023 under both acts.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The industry was visited by the AEE of RO on 16.11.2022 and it was observed that:-</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">1. The industry was engaged in the process of knitting, washing and printing of cloth. during the visit only knitting process was in operation, wet process was not in operation.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">2. The industry has installed 2 soft flow machine, 1 hydro, 2 winch machine, 1 continuous printing machine and printing tables.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">3. The industry has installed ETP for treatment of its trade effluent consisting of collection tank chemical dosing primary tube settler aeration tank secondary tube settler sand & carbon filters discharge into sewer. During the visit wet process was not in operation hence the effluent sample could not be collected.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">4. Earlier an effluent sample was collected from the outlet of ETP on 14.09.2022 and the same was sent to the Board’s lab for analysis. As per the analysis report, various pollutants at the outlet of the ETP were found as follows pH = 7.9, TSS = 13 mg/l, TDS = 1077 mg/l, COD = 38 mg/l, BOD = 8 mg/l and O & G = BDL. As per the results all the parameters are within the limits prescribe by the Board.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">5. The industry has also installed one boiler of capacity 2.5 TPH and one thermopac of capacity 1000 U. The industry is using wood was being used as fuel. The industry has installed separate dust collectors as APCD and common stack of adequate height with both boiler and thermopac.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">6. The industry has installed 02 no. DG sets of capacities 380 KVA and 250 KVA with canopy inside the premises.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">7. The industry is complying with the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"> In the view above, it is recommended that:-</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">1. Consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry for the short period of six months with suitable conditions.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">2. Directions u/s 33-A of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be issued to restore the electric connection of the industry temporarily for the period of six months.</p>
