<p class="MsoNormal">The project proponent has applied for fresh consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981 for process of electroplating on job work basis @ 200 Kgs/day at plot no. 371, focal point, Amritsar. Details of the case are as under:</p>

SBIN522287331033 dated 14.10.2022 and SBIN522287331235 dated 14.10.2022 under the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981, adequate for a period up to 30.06.2026 under each Act. It has also deposited Rs. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>1100/- vide R.no. SBIN522287325246 dated 14.10.2022 as NOC regularization fee.</p>

Gurjit Singh is the Sole proprietor of the industry.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-indent: -18.0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">5.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The project proponent has submitted a copy of site cum location plan form an architect approved by Director of Factories.</p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle">To check compliance, the site was visited by undersigned on 16.11.2022 and it was observed as under:</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 54.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-indent: -18.0pt; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">1.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The industry is located in the plot no. 371, wherein 05 portions of the plot has been carved and the industry is located in one of them. In other portions of the plot lies the almiarh manufacturing unit, storage units etc.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 54.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-indent: -18.0pt; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">2.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The industry has installed 03 nos. electroplating tubs inside the premises for carrying out the job work and has installed a underground collection drum of 2000 litres.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 54.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-indent: -18.0pt; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">3.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The industry has provided flow meter at the source of water supply and reading of the same during visit was 4184 litres.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 54.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-indent: -18.0pt; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">4.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The industry has not maintained record regarding the generation/lifting of effluent and the concerned manifests as required for effluent/water balance.</p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin-left: 54.0pt; mso-add-space: auto;">In view of above, the industry has failed to comply with provision of the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981. It is therefore recommended that consent application of the industry may be refused please.</p> |
