<p><span style="color: #5d5d5d; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; text-align: justify; background-color: #fffff0;">It is intimated that the industry is a small scale casting unit. The industry has granted consent to operate vide no. CTOW/Renewal/LDH2/2019/11870257 dated 30/12/2019 valid upto 30/09/2022 under Water Act, 1974 and vide no. CTOA/Renewal/LDH2/2021/15157988 dated 26/03/2021 valid upto 30/09/2025 under Air Act, 1981. Now, the site of the industry was visited by AEE of this office on 13.09.2022 and it was observed as under :- 1. The industry was in operation during the visit and is engaged in C.I. Casting. 2. The industry has installed 01 electrical operated induction furnace of 300 kg/heat with wet scrubber as APCD along with stack of adequate height. The industry has provided top hood suction system alongwith bag house as APCD. A lot of stagnation alongwith hazardous APCD ash was seen near the APCD area. The housekeeping is very poor in this area. 3. The industry has not got any hazardous waste (APCD ash category 35.1) lifted from its premises since the inception of the unit i.e. from the year 2018. 4. The industry has not maintained any proper record of hazardous waste generation. 5. The industry has installed one no. additional muffle furnace without NOC of the Board. 6. The industry is carrying out expansion without prior permission of the Board. 7. The industry has provided one no coating booth for providing coating on the moulds which are to be used for casting through a spray painting process. The industry has not provided any water curtain at this coating booth. 8. The industry has provided one full fledged washing area for the washing of moulds used for casting purpose. The industry has not provided any facility for treatment of effluent generated from washing of moulds and the same is discharged in an unauthorized manner to some unknown place through tankers. 9. No plantation area has been developed by the industry for discharging of the domestic/trade effluent.....</span></p>
