<p><span lang="EN-US">Sir RO has reported that earlier Consent to Operate under the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 was granted to the industry vide online reference no. O16PKTCTOW4077446 & O16PKTCTOA4077523 dtd 24/05/2016, which are valid upto 30/06/2019 respectively under orange category.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US"> Earlier, the industry was given opportunity of personal hearing before the Senior Environmental Engineer at Amritsar on 01.11.2022, in reference to Show cause notice for violations of the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, the compliance of decisions is attached below.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US"> Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 & Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 through OCMMS mode under orange category.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">The industry has deposited Rs. 21,000/- each vide R.No. 28/5056 & 29/5056 dated 20/06/2019 and now deposited Rs. 50,900/- vide UTR No. SBIN322305930280 dated 01/11/2022 & Rs. 67,200/- vide UTR No. SBIN322305930075 dated 01/11/2022 as consent to operate fee under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 including NOC regularization and Form Downloading fee against total gross value of fixed assets worth Rs. 167.31 as on 30/06/2022 and same are adequate upto 30/09/2027 under both Acts.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US"> The industry was visited by the undersigned on 10/11/2022 and observed as under:-</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">1. </span><span lang="EN-US">The industry is a hotel comprising of 24 no. rooms, one no. banquet hall, one no. kitchen and one no. restaurant.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">2. </span><span lang="EN-US">The hotel has installed STP comprising of Screen chamber – Oil & Grease Chamber, Collection tank- MBBR Reactor- Secondary Tube Settler – Filter Feed Tank –Dual Media Pressure Filters – Sludge Drying Beds.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">3. </span><span lang="EN-US">Treated effluent is discharged into sewer and provision has also been made for its use for flushing. </span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">4. </span><span lang="EN-US">The hotel has installed 2 nos. D.G sets of capacity 380 KVA & 63 KVA and both of them are provided with canopy.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US"> RO has recommended that </span><span lang="EN-US">the fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention& control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30/09/2025 with suitable conditions along with special condition that the hotel shall submit analysis report of its effluent samples from Board’s lab within two months period from the date of issue of this consent.</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US"> </span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">EE ZO has observed that a personal hearing in reference to SCN for violations under the provisions of WA and Air Act was conducted on 01/11/2022 in ZO, Amritsar and the proceedings has been issued for compliance.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">RO was asked to submit pointwise compliance of the PH dated 01/11/2022 and resubmit the case along with recommendations within 02-days. </span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">Now RO has replied that </span>the compliance of the decisions of the personal hearing has been sent, which is attached below the agenda note.</p>
<p>May if approved, <span lang="EN-US">consent to operate under Water (Prevention& control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30/09/2025 with suitable conditions along with special condition that the hotel shall submit analysis report of its effluent samples from Board’s lab within two months period from the date of issue of this consent.</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US"> </span></p>
