Zonal/RPN/APC/2004-18/F-36 dated 27.02.2004 which was valid upto 31.03.2018, for the manufacturing of <strong>BP Set @ 3 Ton/ day</strong>, subject to certain condition as mentioned therein.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top: 12.0pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry was surprisely visited by AEE of this office on 10.08.2022 and no responsible person was present at the site and observed that as under:</span></p>

Therefore, it is apprehence that the industry is discharge its effluent outside the premises by any means.</span></p>

The physical appearance shows that entire process emission is being discharge directly into the atmosphere. <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top: 12.0pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Thereafter, the Board had issued direction u/s 33-A of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 as amended in 1988 and u/s 31-A of the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 as amended in 1987 vide ZO-1 letter no 6674 dated 31/10/2022. The Competent Authority of the Punjab Pollution Control Board, in exercise of the powers conferred upon it u/s 33-A of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 as amended in 1988 and u/s 31-A of the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 as amended in 1987, issues the following directions:</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2; mso-layout-grid-align: none; text-autospace: none; margin: 0in 0in .0001pt 1.0in;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">1.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">That the industry will dismantle and remove all outlets and stop forthwith discharging its wastewater into sewer or through any other mode.</span></p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: normal; mso-layout-grid-align: none; text-autospace: none; margin: 0in 0in .0001pt 1.0in;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top: 12.0pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">After that the Board has issued direction for disconnection the electricity supply available to the industry vide ZO-1 letter no 6670-71 dated 31/10/2022, which is as under:</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: .5in; line-height: normal; mso-layout-grid-align: none; text-autospace: none; margin: 0in 27.0pt .0001pt 1.0in;"><strong><em><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">“That the authorities concerned shall disconnect the electricity supply available to the subject cited industry with immediate effect.”</span></em></strong></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin: 0in; margin-bottom: .0001pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: normal; mso-layout-grid-align: none; text-autospace: none;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top: 12.0pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">In compliance to the above, the PSPCL authority has disconnect the power supply vide TDCO no. 38/81679 dated 18/11/2022 and same was verified by this office.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top: 12.0pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Now, the industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for manufacturing of <strong>Bricks @ 1540.0 Number/ day or BP Set @ 3 Ton/Day,</strong> with requisite documents and fees.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top: 12.0pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has submitted its CA certificate dated 01/11/2022 mentioning the cost of the fixed assets of Rs. 43.5 lakh. The industry has deposited Rs. 78,800/- (Rs. 14,500/- under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, Rs. 11600/- previous fees, Rs. 11,600/- late fees, Rs. 500/- as application form fees, Rs. 40,600/- other fees) video online UTR no. N313222198464974 dated 09/11/2022 under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. The consent fees deposited by the industry is adequate upto 30/09/2027, under both the Acts. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top: 12.0pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">It is further submitted that the M/s ADR industry has given a premises/ shed on rent to M/s Gilco Steel Wire for the production of wire drawing and silca board. The industry is being applied separately for both the product under the name of M/s Gilco steel wire.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top: 12.0pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has submitted copy of building plan approved by the competent person Er. Rajnish Kumar Singla under Director of Factories Act.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top: 12.0pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry was visited by AEE of this office on 21/11/2022 and during visit it was observed as under:</span></p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l3 level1 lfo3; margin: 12.0pt 0in 10.0pt 1.25in;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">3.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has installed 01 no. tunnel type kiln for the production of fire bricks/ BP sets. The industry is using pulverized coal as fuel in the tunnel type furnace. The industry has installed double stage ventuery scrubber as APCD with stack of adequate height and proper sampling facility. The industry has also installed online SO2 meter with the stack. The industry is complying with the Board order no. 471 dated 20/07/2010.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l3 level1 lfo3; margin: 12.0pt 0in 10.0pt 1.25in;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">4.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The domestic effluent is being treated through the septic tank and discharge onto land for plantation.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top: 12.0pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">In view of the above, it is recommended that:</span></p>
