<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0cm 0.2pt 6pt 0cm; text-align: justify; text-indent: 70.9pt; line-height: 18.4px;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">It is submitted that the industry was earlier granted ‘consent to operate’ from PBIP, Chandigarh, under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. PBIP/PPCB/2017/CTO(W)-31 dated 15.05.2017 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. PBIP/PPCB/2017/CTO(A)-31 dated 15.05.2017 both which had expired on 30.06.2021 for manufacturing of wire @ 5 TPD (150 Ton/month), threaded rods @ 2 TPD (60 tons/month), Anchor Fasteners @ 2 TPD (60 tons/ month) and miscellaneous custom made items to order @ 1 TPD (30 ton/month) by using steel round/ wire rods @ 10 TPD, Hex Nuts @ 0.4 TPD, steel washers @ 0.1 TPD, Stainless steel round/ wire @ 0.1 TPD, sheet metal components @ 0.2 TPD and electroplating chemicals @15 kg/day as raw material, subject to certain condition as mentioned therein.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0cm 0.2pt 6pt 0cm; text-align: justify; text-indent: 70.9pt; line-height: 18.4px;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">Thereafter, the industry had applied for obtaining renewal of ‘consent to operate’ under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. Accordingly, the industry was issued show cause notice alongwith an opportunity of personal hearing under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 before the Senior Environmental Engineer of the Board on 19.07.2022, wherein, it was decided as under:</span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0cm 0.2pt 6pt 21.3pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 18.4px;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">1.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">The industry shall install adequate air pollution control device to capture the fumes generated from pickling process within 02 days. The industry shall not operate pickling section without installation pollution control device.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0cm 0.2pt 6pt 21.3pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 18.4px;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">2.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">The industry shall make agreement with M/s Bantech Pvt. Ltd., (CETP), PSIEC Industrial Focal Point, Chanalon, Tehsil Kharar for lifting and treatment of wastewater and spent acid.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0cm 0.2pt 6pt 21.3pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 18.4px;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">3.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">The industry shall develop the adequate plantation area per Karnal Technology to cater the pollution load of treated trade effluent @ 05 KLD.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0cm 0.2pt 6pt 21.3pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 18.4px;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">4.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">The industry shall maintain and operate its effluent treatment plant (ETP), regularly and efficiently, so as to achieve the standards prescribed by the Board, consistently for such discharges.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0cm 0.2pt 6pt 21.3pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 18.4px;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">5.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">The industry will not discharge its untreated effluent into sewer/drain directly or indirectly, under any circumstances.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0cm 0.2pt 6pt 21.3pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 18.4px;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">6.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">The ‘consent to operate’ applied by the industry under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 be refused.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0cm 0.2pt 6pt 21.3pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 18.4px;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">7.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">The Environmental Engineer, Regional Office, SAS Nagar shall visit the industry after 20 days to monitor the ETP as well as stacks installed by the industry and to check the mode of disposal and verify the record maintained by the industry and the contents of the statement of the industry and send the concrete report alongwith recommendations.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0cm 0.2pt 6pt 0cm; text-align: justify; text-indent: 70.9pt; line-height: 18.4px;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">Thereupon, the ‘consent to operate’ application for the industry under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 were refused by the Board due to non-compliance of provisions of these Acts.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0cm 0.2pt 6pt 0cm; text-align: justify; text-indent: 70.9pt; line-height: 18.4px;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">Now, the industry has applied for obtaining varied ‘Consent to Operate’ under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for along with requisite documents for following products as under:</span></p>

As per the record file, the industry had deposited Rs. 60500/- vide online R no. 836466222 dated 21/06/2021 under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 (lined with App ID. 15708224) and Rs. 14400/- as NOC regularization fees vide online R. No. 643438256 dated 05/07/2021 (linked with App. ID. 15707977) and Rs. 60500/- vide online R. no. 436526282 dated 21/06/2021 (linked with App. ID. 16122870) under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. The industry has submitted NOC regularization fees of Rs. 14400/- further, the consent fees deposited by the industry, Rs. 10800/- has been adjusted on account of penalty fees under each Act which is adequate in accordance with order dated 29/10/2018 and Board’s circular no. 484 dated 13/09/2021. As per the record file, the consent fee is deposited by the industry is adequate upto 30.09.2023.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0cm 0.2pt 6pt 0cm; text-align: justify; text-indent: 70.9pt; line-height: 18.4px;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 1pt; line-height: 1.53333px; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';"> </span></p>

During visit, electroplating and pickling processes were not in operation and the representative informed that due to low market demand, the said processes are not being operated regularly.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0cm -2.3pt 0.0001pt 21.3pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 16.3pt; background: white;"><span lang="EN-US">2.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span lang="EN-US">The industry has installed 01 tubewell in its premises, and as per record maintained, around 02 KLD of fresh water is being extracted this month and last month, on an average of around 08 KLD of fresh water was extracted.</span></p>

However, as plating process was not operation during visit, thus, the said APCD was also not in operation.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0cm -2.3pt 0.0001pt 21.3pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 16.3pt; background: white;"><span lang="EN-US">4.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span lang="EN-US">Further, the industry is in the process of installation of additional electroplating line for which it has applied for varied ‘consent to operate’ under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and the representative informed that the same shall be completed within next 1-2 months. He further informed that the new electroplating line shall be connected with the APCD already installed with existing electroplating line.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0cm -2.3pt 0.0001pt 21.3pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 16.3pt; background: white;"><span lang="EN-US">5.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span lang="EN-US">The industry is also carrying out pickling of metal/ alloy coils with H<sub>2</sub>SO<sub>4</sub> in a separate section (consisting of 4 no. tanks) on the back side of the existing shed. The industry has now provided alkali scrubber as APCD with main pickling tank to contain the acidic emissions. However, as pickling process was not operation during visit, thus, the said APCD was also not in operation.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0cm -2.3pt 0.0001pt 21.3pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 16.3pt; background: white;"><span lang="EN-US">6.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span lang="EN-US">The industry has constructed the proposed additional shed on the back side of the existing shed and has installed additional machinery like shot blasting, crane etc. in the said new shed. Some of the machinery was under installation and the representative of the industry informed that they shall commission the machinery of this shed only after obtaining ‘consent to operate’ of the Board.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0cm -2.3pt 0.0001pt 21.3pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 16.3pt; background: white;"><span lang="EN-US">7.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span lang="EN-US">The industry has constructed an underground tank of capacity 40 KL consisting of 02 sections, 01 for collecting the LTDS wastewater from the rinsing tanks and 01 for collecting the HTDS wastewater i.e. spent acid/ alkali from the plating section and pickling section.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0cm -2.3pt 0.0001pt 21.3pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 16.3pt; background: white;"><span lang="EN-US">8.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span lang="EN-US">The industry has installed one batch type ETP of capacity 700 LPH consisting of equalization tank (LTDS wastewater collection tank), chemical dosing tank, tube settler, aeration tank, MBR module. The industry has installed flow meter at outlet of ETP, however, the same was showing correct readings. As such, the industry was advised to provide new flow meter at outlet of ETP within 07 days. During visit, effluent sample from outlet of the said ETP was collected in sent to HO Lab, Patiala for further analysis and results for awaited.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0cm -2.3pt 0.0001pt 21.3pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 16.3pt; background: white;"><span lang="EN-US">9.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span lang="EN-US">The industry has now done plantation in an area of around 400 sq.yard for discharge of treated LTDS effluent onto land for plantation after treatment. The representative of the industry was advised to provide proper distribution network for disposal of effluent, within 15 days.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0cm -2.3pt 0.0001pt 21.3pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 16.3pt; background: white;"><span lang="EN-US">10.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span lang="EN-US">The industry has now executed an agreement dated 19.07.2022 with M/s Bentech Water Pvt. Ltd., for lifting of HTDS effluent being generated from pickling and electroplating section. As per record maintain, lastly 4000 ltrs. Of effluent was got lifted on 07.09.2022 and 3500 ltr. On 12.11.2022, respectively.</span></p>

<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0cm -2.3pt 6pt 0cm; text-align: justify; text-indent: 70.9pt; line-height: 16.3pt; background: white;"><span lang="EN-US">It is worth to mention here that the industry has now got the validity of its Bank Guarantee amounting to Rs. 50,000 extended upto 12.10.2024.</span></p>

The effluent has been sent to HO Lab, Patiala for further analysis and results are awaited.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0cm -2.3pt 0.0001pt 21.3pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 16.3pt; background: white;"><span lang="EN-US">5.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span lang="EN-US">The industry was not seen discharging any effluent into sewer/drain.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0cm -2.3pt 0.0001pt 21.3pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 16.3pt; background: white;"><span lang="EN-US">6.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span lang="EN-US">The industry has applied for varied ‘consent to operate’ and the application is being processed through this agenda note.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0cm -2.3pt 0.0001pt 21.3pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 16.3pt; background: white;"><span lang="EN-US"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin-right: -2.3pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 70.9pt; line-height: 24px; background: white;"><span lang="EN-US" style="line-height: 24px;">From above, it is clear that the industry has now complied with most of the earlier observations for which it was issued show cause notice. There are still certain observations which the industry needs to comply with and conditions in this regard may be imposed in the ‘consent to operate’ to be granted to the industry, considering the fact that the industry is sincerely trying to comply with environmental laws.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 36pt; line-height: 24px; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; line-height: 27px; font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif'; color: #5d5d5d;"> </span><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">In view of above, may if approved, the industry may be granted varied consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, upto 30.09.2023 subject to suitable conditions and the following additional conditions as under:</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="margin-left: 21.3pt; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 24px; background: white;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">1.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">This consent is not valid for operation of additional electroplating line, which is under commissioning stage.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 21.3pt; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 24px; background: white;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">2.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">The industry shall not operate its newly installed electroplating line, without obtaining prior varied ‘consent to operate’ of the Board under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 21.3pt; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 24px; background: white;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">3.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">The industry shall install new flow meter at the outlet of ETP, within 07 days and shall intimate this office in this regard within 05 days thereafter.</span></p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 21.3pt; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 24px; background: white;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">5.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">The industry shall maintain the record for generation, storage and disposal of HTDS effluent to the operator of CETP, at all times and shall submit record of the same in this office on 5<sup>th</sup> of every month.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin: 0cm -2.3pt 0.0001pt 21.3pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 24px;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">6.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">The industry shall not discharge the effluent into any drain/choe/nallah, in any case.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin: 0cm -2.3pt 0.0001pt 21.3pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 24px;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">7.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">The industry shall not discharge any effluent at any unauthorized place by any unauthorized means i.e. shall not discharge any wastewater in any drain / inland surface waters / drain/choe/nallah/ onto land for stagnation or outside its premises, at any time, under any circumstances.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin: 0cm -2.3pt 0.0001pt 21.3pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 24px;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">8.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">The adequacy/ efficacy of the pollution control arrangements shall be the sole responsibility of the industry and the industry shall be bound to implement/ upgrade its pollution control arrangements as per the discretion of the Board to achieve the prescribed emission/ effluent standards, as amended from time to time.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin: 0cm -2.3pt 0.0001pt 21.3pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 24px;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">9.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">The industry shall regularly operate and maintain its ETP and ensure that the treated sewage conforms to the effluent standards prescribed by the Board / Ministry of Environment and Forests & Climate Change for such discharges.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin: 0cm -2.3pt 0.0001pt 21.3pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 24px;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">10.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">The industry shall obtain the authorization under the Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin: 0cm -2.3pt 0.0001pt 21.3pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 24px;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">11.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">The ‘consent to operate’ is being issued to the project proponent based upon the documents/ information submitted by it alongwith the online application form. The Board would be at liberty to take penal action against the industry/project proponent and its responsible/ concerned person(s) in case information/document is detected as incorrect/false/misleading at any point of time, without any opportunity of Personal Hearing.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin: 0cm -2.3pt 0.0001pt 21.3pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 24px;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">12.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">In case the project proponent fails to comply with the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 and/or any other environmental law applicable to the project and Rules, Circulars & Directions issued by the Board from time to time, action as deemed fit shall be taken against the project proponent.</span></p>
