<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 36.0pt; line-height: normal; background: white;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">The Regional office had earlier recommended the case for grant. But, while checking proposal of the industry regarding pollution control measures, it was observed that the industry has proposed to dispose off its effluent generated from scrubber / plate washing section to M/s Charanjit Singh & Co. Technology. But, the re-processor i.e. M/s Charanjit Singh & Co. Technology has facility to process waste water generated from industries engaged in acid pickling using sulphuric acid. The said re-processor recovers ferrous sulphate from waste water of such industries and it has not any facility to treat waste water generated from lead acid battery manufacturing industries. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 36.0pt; line-height: normal; background: white;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">Due to above reason, show cause notice for refusal of NOC was issued to it. In reply, the industry has submitted that will lift the effluent generated from Scrubber/plate washing section to M/s JBR Technologies Pvt, phase-8, Focal Point, Ludhiana with manifest system. But, the Board has yet not allowed the said CETP to make new/ revised agreements.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 36.0pt; line-height: normal; background: white;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">In view of above, </span><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';">it is recommended that consent to establish may be granted to the industry with special condition that it will install treatment facility based on Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) Technology for effluent to be generated from scrubber/ plate washing section.
