<p>Kindly peruse the agenda note attached by AEE regarding details of process, pollution control devices/ system put in by industry and compliance of SOP prescribed by CPCB for such Zinc recovery units. </p>
<p>As detailed in the note, revised water balance has been submitted by the industry with declaration of T.E as NIL and D.E @ 4 KLD. Wastewater from scrubber blow down/ bleed water, pump seal cooling, spent electrolyte as well as floor washing shall be again taken into leaching tanks. Therefore, final water auditing will be done once the plant will be made opeartional. </p>
<p>In view of above mentioned facts, it is recommended that Fresh 'consent to operate' under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for manufacturing of Zinc Metal @ 8.5 MTD (Phase-I), be granted to the industry initially for six months with suitable conditions and special conditions as mentioned in the note of AEE.</p>
