<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">It is submitted that there is no CETP/Common facility/Reprocessor in the State, particularly for treatment/ reprocessing of spent acid generating from industries engaged in pickling process using HCl acid. Such industries have made agreement with CETP operator at Focal Point, Ludhiana, established for treatment of effluent generating from electroplating process. It is pertinent to mention here that electroplating industries are also using HCl for pre-cleaning/degreasing of raw material before conducting electroplating process. The industries which are using HCl for pickling process and made agreement with CETP Operator have been granted consents by the Board.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">In view of above, it is recommended </span><span style="font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; orphans: 2; widows: 2; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; text-decoration-thickness: initial; text-decoration-style: initial; text-decoration-color: initial; word-spacing: 0px;"> that consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 may be granted upto 30.06.2027 with suitable conditions.</span></p>
