<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 16.1px; font-family: Arial, 'sans-serif';"> The industry was issued show cause notice for refusal of consent to operate under the Water Act Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 with hearing fixed before SEE Jalandhar on 09/11/2022 but no one from the industry attended the hearing and rehearing fixed on 21.11.2022 In which it was decided that:-</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18pt;"><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 16.1px; font-family: Arial, 'sans-serif';">1)<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 16.1px; font-family: Arial, 'sans-serif';">Consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1981 be granted to the industry for existing unit.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 16.1px; font-family: Arial, 'sans-serif';"><span style="text-indent: -18pt; font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 16.1px;">2)<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="text-indent: -18pt; font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 16.1px;">The industry shall apply for consent to establish (NOC) under the provisions of Water Act 1974 and Air Act 1981 for proposed expansion with complete documents through OCMMS within 07 days and the industry shall not operate the newly installed machinery without obtaining NOC of the Board.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 16.1px; font-family: Arial, 'sans-serif';">The proceedings of the hearing has been issued to the industry (copy attached).</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 16.1px; font-family: Arial, 'sans-serif';"> It is recommended that c</span><span style="text-indent: -18pt; font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 16.1px; font-family: Arial, 'sans-serif';">onsent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1981 be granted to the industry upto 30.06.2027 with special condition that t</span><span style="font-family: Arial, 'sans-serif'; font-size: 10.5pt; text-indent: -18pt; line-height: 16.1px;">he industry shall apply for consent to establish (NOC) under the provisions of Water Act 1974 and Air Act 1981 for proposed expansion with complete documents through OCMMS within 07 days and the industry shall not operate the newly installed machinery without obtaining NOC of the Board.</span></p>
