Earlier the industry was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Varied/LDH3/2022/18257569 dated 20.05.2022 for the production of cloth washing/printing /dyeing @ 1500 Kgs/day and knitted cloth @ 400 Kgs/day with disposal of trade effluent @ 220 KLD (180 KLD onto land for plantation and 40 KLD into sewer after treatment in ETP) and domestic effluent @ 2.5 KLD onto land for plantation after passing through septic tank, which was expired on 19.11.2022. Further the directions u/s 33-A of Water Act, 1974 were issued to the PSPCL authorities to restore the electric connection of the unit temporarily upto 19.11.2022 vide Board’s letter no. 3098 dated 20.05.2022.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.5in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Now, the industry has again applied for renewal consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 for the production of cloth washing/printing /dyeing @ 1500 Kgs/day and knitted cloth @ 400 Kgs/day with disposal of trade effluent @ 220 KLD (180 KLD onto land for plantation and 40 KLD into sewer after treatment in ETP) and domestic effluent @ 2.5 KLD onto land for plantation after passing through septic tank. The industry has deposited Rs. 70,700/- vide UTR. No. SBIN521363766858 dated 29.12.2021 (Rs. 64,800/- under Water Act, 1974, Rs. 5400/- as NOC regularization fee & Rs. 500/- as application form fee), which is adequate upto 31.03.2025.</span></p>

During the visit aeration of the ETP was not in operation due to malfunctioning of the blowers and some components of the ETP were damaged due to rust.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 13.5pt; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif'; font-size: 12pt;">4. Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana maybe directed to disconnect/plug the sewer connection of the industry.</span></p> |
