<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top: 12.0pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">It is submitted that the industry was earlier granted consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/SAS/2018/7759400 dated 14/07/2018 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/SAS/2018/7759383 dated 14/07/2018, both were valid upto 30/09/2022 for manufacturing of Sewing Machine Parts @ 1 T/day by using C.I. SCRAP @ 1.05 T/day as raw material, subject to certain conditions as mentioned therein.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top: 12.0pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Now, the industry has applied for obtaining renewal of consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, with same production capacity. The industry has submitted its CA certificate mentioning the cost of the fixed assets of Rs. 35.66 lakh as on 18/10/2022, which is remain same.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top: 12.0pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has deposited Rs. 14,800/- vide online UTR no. N292222169643256 dated 19/10/2022 under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Rs. 15,300/- vide online UTR no. N292222169662266 dated 19/10/2022 under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 alongwith 10% late fees. The consent fees deposited by the industry is adequate upto 30/09/2027, under both the Acts.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top: 12.0pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has submitted its stack emission </span><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: Raavi;">analysis report</span><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';"> (Induction furnace @ 300 kg) from the NABL laboratory i.e. M/s Chandigarh Pollution Testng Center. As per the analysis results the concentration of SPM = 48.6 mg/Nm3 against the prescribed standard i.e. 150 mg/Nm3, which is within the limit.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top: 12.0pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry was visited by the AEE of this office on 23/11/2022 and during visit it was observed as under:</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top: 12.0pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry is complying with the previous consent conditions granted to it under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top: 12.0pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">In view of above, it is recommended that </span><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: Raavi;">consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be renewed upto 30/09/2027, subject to suitable conditions and special conditions that:</span></p>
