<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><strong><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">3.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span></strong><!--[endif]--><strong><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';">The industry has installed two extruders, four no. cutting machine out of which only two no. machines are operational, one no. slitting machine, one no. printing machine and one no. gravure / anglo meter machine (Being used for grinding left -over / slitted plastic waste generated in the unit, which is being used as raw material). During visit, process emissions from anglo meter machine were observed and there is no duct /chimney provided over it.</span></strong></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><strong><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">4.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span></strong><!--[endif]--><strong><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';">The industry has not provided any separate storage facility for storing of used chemical drums and waste cloths from printing section. No record of generation of hazardous waste is being made. The empty drums were found scattered inside the premises of the industry. </span></strong></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">5.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';">The industry has made agreement with M/s Lucky Steel Works, Ludhiana for disposing off the hazardous waste of Cat 33.1. </span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 18.0pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>In view of above, it is recommended that consent under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 applied by the industry may be refused and directions u/s 33-A of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 may be issued against the industry for closure of unit and PSPCL authorities be directed to disconnect the electric connection of the industry without giving any opportunity of hearing / notice. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></p> |
