<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; background: white;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">It is submitted that during hearing on 14.11.22, the Senior Environmental Engineer decided that:-</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="margin-left: 0.75in; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: normal; background: white;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">1)<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry shall operate the effluent treatment plant regularly and efficiently so as to keep the parameters within the limits prescribed by the Board at all the time.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 0.75in; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: normal; background: white;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">2)<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry shall remove all the short-comings as observed during the visit on 12.07.2022 within 07 days.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 0.75in; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: normal; background: white;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">3)<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry shall apply for authorization under Hazardous & other Wastes (Management & Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 through OCMMS within 07 days.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin-left: 0.75in; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: normal; background: white;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">4)<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">Environmental Engineer, Regional Office, Hoshiarpur shall visit the industry to collect the effluent samples of ETP, check the operational record of ETP and process the consent applications within 07 days</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';"> In compliance to above, the industry was visited by the AEE of this office on 23.11.2022 and it was observed that:</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">1) The industry was in operation and engaged in the production of sweets, dairy products etc.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">2) The industry has installed LPG fired bhathies, one no. thermic heater for the production of steam.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">3) The industry has installed APCD (cyclone) before the stack of the heater. The industry uses fire wood as fuel in the furnace. The industry has provided energy meter with the APCD.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">4) The industry has installed ETP for the treatment of effluent generated from the process and washing of the pans. The ETP consists of Oil & Grease trap, equalization tank , dozing tank, aeration tank, tube settler, filter.</span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">5) The treated effluent of the ETP is discharged into PSIEC sewer and the domestic effluent is also discharged directly into sewer.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">6) The industry has installed energy meter and flow meter with the ETP and the readings were noted as 2645 kwh and 19720 kl respectively.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">7) The industry has maintained the daily record of the ETP operation, fresh water supply and energy meter reading.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">8) The industry is in process of doing agreement with authorized recycler for the lifting of HW of category 5.1 and afterwards HWM application will be applied as submitted by rep. during visit.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';"> It is pertinent to mention here that the effluent sample will be collected during next visit to the said area and also the sampling analysis will take some time ,however to avoid delay in deciding the application, it is recommended as under:-</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">1.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry shall be granted consent to operate under Water Act 1974 for six months and further extension will be decided after the sample analysis results.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">2.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry shall be granted consent to operate under Air Act 1981 upto 30.09.2027.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';"> </span></p> |
