CTOW / Renewal / BAR / 2020 / 11858391 dated 15/07/2020 & the Air Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA / Renewal / BAR / 2020 / 11858360 dated 14/07/2020,<span style="letter-spacing: .55pt;"> both </span>valid<span style="letter-spacing: .5pt;"> </span>upto<span style="letter-spacing: .55pt;"> </span>30/09/2022 for the business of </span><span lang="EN-US">Servicing<span style="letter-spacing: 1.35pt;"> </span>and<span style="letter-spacing: 1.4pt;"> </span>washing<span style="letter-spacing: 1.25pt;"> </span>of<span style="letter-spacing: 1.3pt;"> </span>cars<span style="letter-spacing: 1.4pt;"> </span>@<span style="letter-spacing: 1.3pt;"> </span>5<span style="letter-spacing: 1.4pt;"> </span>nos/day, with certain conditions mentioned therein.</span></p>
<p class="TableParagraph" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 64.65pt; line-height: 150%; margin: 0cm 5.7pt .0001pt 5.8pt;"><span lang="EN-US">Now</span><span lang="EN-US">, </span><span lang="EN-US">the agency has applied for renewal of consents to operate under the Water Act, 1974 & the Air Act, 198 through OCMMS of the Board. The agency has deposited consents fee of </span><span lang="EN-US">Rs. 6,525/- deposited vide R. No. 493867309 dated 21/09/2022 under the Water Act, 1974 & Rs. 6,525/- deposited vide R. No. 504361154 dated 21/09/2022 under the Air Act, 1981, against the value of gross fixed assets of Rs. 40.31 lacs, which is adequate upto 30/09/2025. Also, the industry has deposited penalty fee of Rs. 290/- under the both Acts.</span></p>
<p class="TableParagraph" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 64.65pt; margin: 0cm 5.7pt .0001pt 5.8pt;"><span lang="EN-US">The service station was visited by AEE of this office on 16/11/2022 and it was observed<span style="letter-spacing: -2.65pt;"> </span>as<span style="letter-spacing: .55pt;"> </span>under:</span></p>

The</span> treated wastewater samples were collected from the outlet from where the effluent was re-used back into the process and sent to Head Office Lab, Patiala for analysis. The analysis results has been received and revealed that the concentration of various parameters were found within the permissible limit prescribed by the Board. The details may be pursued from Sr. No. C(VI). </span></p>

Reading was noted as 351 KL.</span></p>

<p class="TableParagraph" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 77.95pt; line-height: 150%; margin: 0cm 5.7pt .0001pt 8.15pt;"><span lang="EN-US">From the above, the service station is complying with the provisions of the Water Act, 1971 & the Air Act, 1981.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Cambria',serif; mso-fareast-font-family: Cambria; mso-bidi-font-family: Cambria; mso-font-width: 115%; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;">Keeping in view of the above, it is therefore recommended that the renewal of consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 & under the Air Act, 1981 may be granted to service station for a period upto 30/09/2025 with suitable conditions with special conditions as under: The service station shall apply for obtaining authorization Hazardous and Other Waste (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016, immediately.</span></p> |
