CTOW/Fresh/SAS/2019/9138851 dated 26/01/2019 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/SAS/2019/9138835 dated 26/01/2019, having validity upto 30.09.2023 for manufacturing of Bricks and Tiles @30000 Numbers/Day as products, subject to suitable conditions mentioned therein.<span style="color: red;"> </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 70.9pt; line-height: 150%; margin: 0cm .2pt 6.0pt 0cm;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">Thereafter, the site of the industry was visited by officers of this office on 18.06.2022 and it was observed that the industry was using pet coke as fuel in its premises. Accordingly, </span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">the consent to operate granted to the industry under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 has already been cancelled by the Board vide letter no, 3511 dated 17.08.2022. Further, the industry was issued show cause notice u/s 31-A of the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, </span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">before the Chief Environmental Engineer (P) of the Board on 27.09.2022, wherein, it was decided as under:</span></p>

If they found to use pet coke as a fuel in brick kiln in future, then direction u/s 31-A of the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 shall be confirmed with a direction to District Food Supply officer to cancel the license without giving any opportunity/notice.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1; margin: 0cm 0cm .0001pt 21.3pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style';"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">3.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">The Environmental Engineer, Regional Office, SAS Nagar shall keep a vigil on the activities of brick kiln during visit the area to check the use as fuel in brick kiln and if found any violation observed then send report/recommendations immediately.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 9.0pt; line-height: 150%; margin: 0cm .2pt 6.0pt 0cm;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>Now, the industry has applied for renewal of ‘consent to operate’ under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and fresh ‘consent to operate’ under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 with requisite documents and consent fee.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 70.9pt; line-height: 150%; margin: 0cm .2pt 6.0pt 0cm;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">As per the record file, earlier, the industry has deposited consent fee is adequate upto 31/12/2023 under the Air Act, 1981 & under the water Act, 1974 is adequate upto 31/03/2025. Now, the industry has deposited to Rs. 14500/- vide R. no.</span> <span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">876292630 dated 16.11.2022 under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Rs. 16800/- vide R. no. 43849252 dated 16.11.2022 and also included NOC regulization fee Rs. 1800/-, which is adequate upto 31.12.2028 under the Air Act, 1981</span> <span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">and under the Water Act, 1974 is adequate upto 31.03.2030, against the fixed assets of Rs. 48.06 lakhs as on 31.03.2022.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin-right: .2pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 70.9pt; line-height: 150%;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">Accordingly, the industry was visited by AEE of this office on 24.11.2022</span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">, during visit, <span style="mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">it was observed as under:</span></span></p>

The representative of the industry was advised to get the movement area cleaned regularly.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l3 level1 lfo4; margin: 0cm .2pt .0001pt 36.0pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style';"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">b)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">The industry shall not use any illegal fuel at any stage of firing of the brick kiln.</span></p>

The Board would be at liberty to take penal action against the industry/project proponent and its responsible/ concerned person(s) in case information/document is detected as incorrect/false/misleading at any point of time, without any opportunity of Personal Hearing. </span></p>
